LA’s Conversations on Beauty, Health & Wellness Was a Hale, Hearty—and Haute—Affair

On October 16, 2010, LA, Los Angeles Times Magazine presented an exclusive day of speakers, exhibitions, demonstrations and exercise opportunities at the stunning Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes. Among those in attendance were Dr. Susan Love, speaking on breast-cancer advocacy and awareness; Katherine Schwarzenegger, talking about body image and identity for young girls; and the cast of The Doctors, answering attendees’ everyday health questions.

There were outdoor activities for guests to choose from, including yoga and boot camp. And a plethora of exhibitors covered every area of our bodies, from what we put into them (healthy juices, vitamins) to what we do to them (massage, facials, wellness-center programs).
