How could you leave out The Simpsons and Family Matters? The Simpsons with the clouds parting to reveal "Springfield", zeroing in on the school and ending with a different couch scene for each episode was a show in itself. Family Matters showed the Chicago skyline and had a groovy theme song.

Angel was one of the best opening sequences. The music perfectly captured the tone of the show.
I guess I must vote for X-files. I remember once hearing that theme come from about 5 different apartments in my complex one night as I hurried through the courtyard home to watch.
