It takes a master alchemist, like the director of mixology for Southern Wine & Spirits, to meld gin, vodka, sweet sherry and cherry brandy and create a cocktail that is at once complex and perfectly balanced.
1 ounce Absolut Pears vodka
1 ounce Plymouth gin
½ ounce Harveys Bristol Cream
½ ounce Luxardo Cherry Brandy
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Combine ingredients in a mixing glass with one and a half cups of ice. Stir vigorously for 8 to 10 seconds. Strain into chilled martini cocktail glass. Garnish with a spiral of orange peel.
