This creative movement evolving from our youth shows the resilience of expression and creativity. The fashion, the sleek and funk inspired moves, the prep attitude, all remind me of a movement that started 30 years ago; Hip Hop. I hope this spreads like wildfire, a influences a new age and genre of music. Much props to all you jerkin geniuses out there!!!!

I love this urban-inspired unifying dance. Music is about unity and I think the jerk movement really emphasizes this because it evolved from urban youth culture. Although it's hip hop it has rejected the "gangster" culture, lyrics, and fashion some hip hop artists glamorize. I really hope this sticks and spreads! :)
